Three years after the 2017 World Champions some players from Samsung Galaxy still haven't received their share of the sales of the exclusive skins.

LoL: SSG players are still waiting for Worlds Skins Revenues

Every year the League of Legends worlds champions can choose a champion that will get an exclusive skin in the colors of the team. The only condition is that they must have played it at least once during the tournament.

Beyond the honors, these world champion skins are also a great income for players. All world champions receive 25% of the income generated by their skin. You can imagine how much money this can represent.

The problem is, several 2017 Samsung Galaxy (SSG) World Champions still haven't been paid by Riot Games. Three years later, they are still waiting and are starting to get impatient.

A simple procedural delay?

The 6 world champions concerned by this skin issue are:

  • Lee " CuVee " Seong-jin
  • Kang " Ambition " Chan-yong
  • Kang " Haru " Min-seung
  • Lee " Crown " Min-ho
  • Park " Ruler " Jae-hyuk
  • Jo " CoreJJ " Yong-in

Cuvee, currently playing for Hanwha Life Esports player brought up the payment issue during a stream. Normally, Riot Games pays players after 2 years since it takes time to create the skins, sell them and proceed to payment.

It is all the more strange that among the six, two players have received their share: Crown and Corejj, who have transferred abroad.

Riot Games has heard complaints from the remaining players and has promised to address the issue very quickly. The company has highlighted the fact that depending on the type of contracts and the taxes, the payments can take longer from one player to another.
