LoL - LEC 2020 Summer Split: SK Gaming Roster Reveal

SK Gaming is clearly the lowest-rated team in the Summer Split predictions (even if Vitality did not show its best face either in the first part of the season). It was necessary for the German club to adjust its roster for the LEC Summer Split, it is now done with many changes.

The Twitter announcement of all the changes

G2 Esports don't have the exclusivity of role swapping and Janik " Jenax " Bartelsa decided to move from the mid to the top lane of the Summoner's Rift.

“I am very confident in my gameplay and ready to play at the highest level of LEC. I expect great performances, based on my experience in SoloQ in recent months. I can confidently say that this swap will allow me to show my potential in this new position."

With that, SK Gaming recruited Dirk " ZaZee " Mallner as their starting midlaner. The German rookie previously played for BIG, an organization involved in the German Prime League).

These changes imply the departure of Toni " Sacre " Sabalić from the roster, who's already found a new team in Turkey: 1907 Fenebahçe.

The return of Jesiz

Changes are not only made at the player level but also at the staff level with the return of a familiar face.

Midlane, support, analyst, coach ... Jesse " Jesiz " Lea played many different roles over the past years. After having led LDLC OL to a victory at the EU Masters, he returns to the big stage of the LEC to coach one of his former clubs. Jesiz had indeed played briefly for SK Gaming during Season 4.
