To celebrate the release of Volibear's rework, Riot Games prepared a surprise for the whole League of Legends community: a free skin.
"When we released the first visual concepts for Volibear's update, we saw that some players were disappointed that we didn't take him in the eldritch horror direction he'd been portrayed as in a story on Universe," said Riot.
That's why the studio decided to offer a free Thousand-Pierced Volibear to all players, in order to content those who liked his nightmarish iteration.

"Creating a free skin isn't something we plan on doing for future champion updates," said Riot, "but in this case we felt like it was the right call."
If you want your Volibear skin, don't waste a second and log-in to your League of Legends account: you have until June 10 to get it!
