LoL: LEC teams to create the League of Legends Community Showdown

With the MSI being canceled, it's certainly a dull mid-season for most League of Legends fans. Admittedly, the LCS and LEC resume in June — but right now, there isn't much competition to watch.

With that in mind, six LEC teams teamed up to organize the League of Legends Community Showdown, a tournament... of its kind. They were joined by the four other teams today, meaning that the whole LEC scene is now represented!

Although we could have expected a friendly competition between pro-players, this tournament is actually quite different since anyone can actually participate.

Indeed, players from all over the world will have a chance to become a representative of one of the ten teams made of fans that will eventually fight each other.

If you're confident enough then you can try to join the tournament by tuning in on the Discord server of the team you like the most!

  • G2 Esports' Discord
  • Rogue's Discord
  • MAD Lion's Discord
  • Fnatic's Discord
  • Vitality's Discord
  • SK Gaming's Discord

Some teams like even created Google Docs where you can apply. You'll find them below:

  • Excel's Google Doc
  • Misfits' Google Doc
  • Origen's Google Doc
  • Schalke 04's Google Doc

In any case, this tournament will certainly be a lot of fun to watch and perhaps an original way to spot hidden talents...
