They're finally back! After crossing the desert for esports in Fortnite, pro players are now back with the Fortnite Champion Series, the official regular circuit organized by Epic Games. This season, the format chosen is the Duo.
As the FNCS has always been played online, it won't be disrupted by the containment regulations and the coronavirus crisis. This means we'll have the chance to enjoy great Fortnite competitive weekends in March and April.

FNCS Rules (simple version)
Here is an overview of a standard FNCS weekend. This training simulation (March 14-15) is a test and the following weeks of competition will be played on the same format if it turns out to be a success.
The weekly qualifiers consist of three rounds:
- Round 1: all members of an eligible Duos team must rank in the Champion League within Arena. Players have three hours to play ten games. The 1000 best Duos advance to next round.
- Round 2: Players have three hours to play ten games. The 50 best Duos advance to the next round.
- Round 3: Players have three hours to play six games. The 20 best Duos are qualified for the Stage Group (during the real sessions, not during the training simulation).
Scoring system
Group Stage
- The Group Stage is more intensive. It's played on April 17-19. Duos only have 4 sets to qualify for the Grand Final.
- Each round lasts three hours and players can only play six games during this time, with one game automatically starting every 30 minutes.
- Players will have to choose between staying in their game, or leaving to join a new game in the hopes of getting a better score.
- At the end of a round, duos have o be ranked Top 12 to be qualified for the Grand Final.
- With 4 rounds and 12 qualified each time, 78 Duos will have their place in the Grand Final.
The Grand Final
It will be played on April 19, it contains the 24 trios that will have managed to be in the Top 12 during one of the rounds of the Stage Group, and it will determine the big winners of the Fortnite Champion Series.
After Iris — which was the starter bundle of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 — a new pack has now invaded the Item Shop: Slurp Legends.
