After you've had a chance to test the new Apex Legends Evo Shield in Deja Loot LTM, Respawn has officially announced that it will remain permanently in-game!

Apex Legends: Evo Shields will remain in-game

During the Apex Legends System Override event, we were introduced to an interesting new feature: the Evo Shield. This shield — which evolves according to the damage you inflict on enemies during your game — is now definitively available in-game.

Is Evo Shield better than the Legendary Shield?

The Evo Shield is interesting at the beginning of the game, because if you don't find a Rare or Epic shield, it can change everything. However, Legendary shields bring bonuses that need to be taken into account — healing items take half as long to consume. The Evo shield doesn't allow you to do that. It's advisable to change it for a Gold shield if you find one.
