For the Patch 1.12 of WoW Classic, we propose to you to discover the complete guide of the Enhancement Shaman. Talents, Rotation, Statistics, Equipment and Trades are explained to you.

WoW Classic: Enhancement Shaman Guide

Enhancement Shaman in WoW Classic is the melee proc specialist who has its wings clipped in raids.

Tier B (PvE) Tier A (PvP)

The Enhancement is Azeroth's Swiss Army Knife in PvE and an unstoppable PvP berserker. With many totems, they are able to adapt to each group to bring them bonuses that no raid group can do without. However, it generates a lot of threat and must limit its fighting to instead drop totems for others to do DPS.

In PvP, you'll be a killing machine and the only limit is that with early gearing you'll drain mana fast.It is not there to just look pretty, if you cross their path in BG, make sure you know what you are doing because if not you'll find yourself at the spirit healer pretty quick.

The biggest downside of Enhancement is that it requires good equipment to be viable, making it very unpopular, especially in PvE.

Great utility in raids
unstoppable in PvP
has a totem for any situation
Simple gameplay
Great mobility
Needs a lot of gear to be relevent
Generates way too much threat to be effevtive
Auto attack based gameplay is dull
Horde only

Talents

Instance PvE 5/32/14 - World of Warcraft: Classic
Instance PvE 5/32/14

This is the build dedicated exclusively to instances and possibly small raids (up to 20 players max maximum, ideally 10). Entirely DPS oriented, it allows you to maximize it as well as the contribution of your totems to the group. You will usually be assigned to the melee group, so prioritize the use of the Grace of Air Totem and Strength of Earth Totem.

World of Warcraft: Classic

This build is exclusively dedicated to large raids (usually 40 players, but it can be used in those at 20 too). It removes almost entirely your personal DPS from the previous build in order to limit as much as possible your possibilities of taking aggro (which is highly probable in this spec) and gives you a much more focused role "Support". You are only there to put your totems and buff your allies, so choose wisely according to the group in which you are. If you are in the Tanks group, do not hesitate to save the day and give the tank a little Nature's Swiftness.

World of Warcraft: Classic

Let's face it, this is the famous flagship build of Shaman PvP Enhancement. The idea is rather simple since you only have to put some very specific totems (detailed in the Rotation section), run into the melee and annihilate an opponent in a few auto attacks with the help of your powerful Windfury Weapon. Simple, fast, efficient and fun, what more? The only downside of this build is that you will very often run out of mana.

Speed of Nature PvP 0/30/21 - World of Warcraft: Classic
Speed of Nature PvP 0/30/21

The PvP Speed of Nature Build is much less common than the previous one, but is no less powerful. Much more versatile and tanky, it makes you lose slightly in direct DPS to focus on survival. But make no mistake, Nature's Swiftness coupled with a Chain Lightning after a WindFury Weapon proc will usually kill an opponent in a fraction of a second. This is the most suitable build for Shamans with little equipment or beginners with the PvP Enhancement Specialization.

Stats to prioritize

PvE

Hit (9%)> Attack Power = Spell Power> Strength> Intelligence = Agility> Mana every 5 seconds> Stamina> Spirit

PvP

Hit (5%)> Stamina> Critical Strike> Attack Power = Strength> Agility> Intelligence> rest

Rotation and abilities

raiding

In raid, your rotation is limited to replacing your totems (the ones most useful to the group you are in) before they disappear, and doing automatic attacks. Everything else generates too much threat or costs too much mana to be of any use.

Instance

  • Keep the most useful totems for your group active all the time,
  • Stormstrike as soon as possible,
  • Keep Flame Shock on the target all the time,
  • Searing Totem,
  • Earth Shcok if you have not generated too much threat on the target,
  • Frost Shock if you have generated too much threat on the target.

PvP

There is no real rotation in PvP, survival and displacement being largely taken into account in addition to the CCs. However, here is what we could remember for a purely DPS rotation:

  • Windfury Totem,
  • Strength of Earth,
  • Grace of Air,
  • Fire Nova Totem,
  • Flame Shock,
  • Stormstrike,
  • Earth Shock,
  • Earth Shock.
Totems

Totems are an integral part of the Shaman's kit and make it extremely powerful, especially when in a group or raid. With a total of 2 Totems all very specific, the Shaman is a real mat that can fit into any group by bringing him buffs as diverse as powerful!

Reincarnation

Reincarnation

Reincarnation is nothing less than the Shaman's ability to come back to life after being killed once every hour. What more can I add, except that it is extremely powerful?

Stormstrike

Stormstrike

Stormstrike is the only offensive CD available to the Enhancement Shaman, and one of its only real abilities. It allows them to inflict very heavy damage in a fraction of seconds.

Best Race For Enhancement Shaman

Horde

Orc

The Orc is great in PvE as in PVP thanks to its racial Blood Fury. Finally, Hardness gives them a clear advantage over other races in PvP. Small mention of Command maybe

Troll

The Berserker is rather powerful for Enhancement, it makes Troll one of the best races if you plan to play Shammy. Special mention for Beast Slaying which is useful for leveling or farming.

WoW Classic: Race Tier List

World of Warcraft: Classic has a number of races to choose from, and making that choice has long-term consequences. You don't want to regret your choice later, so we've broken down the races in our tier list for WoW: Classic.

Professions

Herbalism

If you follow our advice for choosing professions, Herbalism is an excellent choice because if you choose Alchemy you can be almost self-sufficient. And, even if you do not choose Alchemy, it allows you to farm components for your guild or to sell to the auction house and make a small fortune.

Engineering

The Engineer is the best choice by default as it's great in both PvE and PvP. From Goblin Sapper Charge to the Arcanite Dragonling to the Dense Dynamite, everything about this role will always be useful!

Alchemy

Alchemy is one of the most important professions in World of Warcraft because it allows for the creation of flasks but also various potions, some more useful than others. The Druid does not need to opt for a particular crafting profession to make a specific armour set, so it's the ideal class to opt for Alchemy
