Like the Face Hunter, the Aggro Warlock, i.e the Zoolock, is one of the oldest archetypes in Hearthstone. Adapting to each expansion, he is back with Descent of Dragons and Galakrond's Awakening!

Hearthstone Deck Guide: Galakrond Zoo Warlock

Descent of Dragons has finally arrived in Hearthstone and with it the new Invoke mechanic, the new Galakrond hero for E.V.I.L classes and side quests.

Galakrond's Awakening brought new cards that directly impacted the meta.

With 13 one-mana cards, this Zoolock deck plays around an explosive and ruthless list — but there is a twist. Compared to the previous versions of this archetype, this decklist is almost a mid-range one since it includes Galakrond...

Hearthstone

With an ultra-aggressive mana curve, the absence of Kronx Dragonhoof and Sea Giant, this decklist doens't go in for subtelties. Your game plan is very simple: invade and swarm the board.

Mulligan should not be a problem considering the number of T1s present. Keep the most troublesome minions in hand, such as the famous Flame Imp or the Balzing Battlemage. Also set aside a Dragonblight Cultist, which will allow you to quickly gain the advantage thanks to the new Invoke mechanic. It fits in perfectly with the spirit of a Zoolock deck, because every time you Invoke, you'll get two 1/1 Imps on your side of the board. This effect combines perfectly with the Knife Juggler, the EVIL Genius or the Grim Rally spell.

Take control of the board and never give it up. Even if you do take an AoE Spell, the special thing about the deck is that it allows you to never run out of cards. Thanks to your hero power and low cost cards, you'll always be able to rebuild your board and stay aggressive. Cards like Veiled Worshipper and Fiendish Rites will keep you from running out of cards in hand and minions on the board.

You'll always have the tools in hand to take the tempo and attack your opponent. If he resists, Galakrond, the Wretched will come to finish the job before venturing too far into the late game.
