Descent of Dragons has finally arrived in Hearthstone and with it the new Invoke mechanic, the new Galakrond hero for E.V.I.L classes and side quests.

Mulligan and early game
Pharaoh's Cat, Seal Fate, and the E.V.I.L Miscreant are essential for a good start to the game. Remember not to attack the hero on turn 2 with your dagger in order to ensure the use of Seal Fate on turn 3. If you have a Backstab or the Coin in hand at the start, the SI:7 Agent will allow you to take control with a classic but nonetheless efficient tempo play.
Never forget the possibility that your Edwin VanCleef may come to reverse the course of a game, it is one of the Rogue's key cards that cannot be underestimated by your opponents, or they will be defeated.
Mid-Late game
The main objective in midgame is to invoke Galakrond to take full advantage of his power. Ten cards will allow you to generate lackeys through Invoking, making it easier to activate Heistbaron Togwaggle. 99% of the time, you will want to get the Wondrous Wand, which allows you to draw 3 cards, reducing their cost to (0).
To finish off your opponent, don't forget your Leeroy-based combos:
- Leeroy Jenkins + Shadow Step = 12 damage for (8)
- Leeroy Jenkins + Shadow Step + Eviscerate = 16 damage for (10)
All this doesn't take into account the 0 mana cards you will get with Galakrond, the Nightmare or the Heistbaron Togwaggle. As the generation of lackeys is very large, you can also count on the Kobold Lackey, who inflicts two points of damage, to finish off the opponent.
Matchups
The Galakrond Rogue is more powerful than its Highlander counterpart with a greater ability to apply pressure and conjure faster, bringing its overall win rate to around 56.2%.
Hunter and Druid decks will give you more problems. However, this deck has great potential to turn the tables and get the upper hand on your opponent, especially with cards like Edwin VanCleef, Galakrond the Nightmare and Heistbaron Toggwagle.
The Galakrond Rogue always retains his place in the Tier List, adapting to all types of opponents and offering several strategies to defeat the opposing hero. The new cards offered by Galakrond's Awakening, are not powerful enough to fit into the two archetypes presented — Skyvateer and Escaped Manasaber are suitable if you want to surprise your opponent.
